United Way of Western Maine officially launched its 2025 Annual Campaign with a highly successful Campaign Kickoff Breakfast, bringing together 130 community members, business leaders, and partners united in the shared goal of building a stronger, more resilient community, before our annual Day of Caring.
Held at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch, the breakfast energized attendees for the year ahead and marked the start of a campaign with an ambitious goal of $1.2 million. Funds raised through the campaign will support vital programs and services across Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford counties.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and showed their commitment to our community,” said United Way of Western Maine leadership. “Seeing 130 people ready to step up and help make a difference is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together.”
Community members are encouraged to support the campaign by making a workplace pledge or by visiting uwwm.org/campaign-2025.
The Day of Caring, a community-wide effort that brings together volunteers from local businesses to support nonprofit and public organizations through short-term, project-focused service is held yearly, after the Kick-off Breakfast.
Each year, Day of Caring mobilizes volunteers for a powerful day of hands-on service. Volunteerism is a cornerstone of United Way of Western Maine’s mission, and the event continues to be embraced by both agencies in need of assistance and business volunteers eager to give back.
