Join us for the 2026 Day of Caring on Friday, September 11!

United Way of Western Maine's Day of Caring is a community-wide volunteer event that brings together employees from local businesses to complete meaningful, project-based volunteer work for nonprofit organizations and public agencies throughout our community.

Volunteerism is at the heart of United Way's mission, and Day of Caring is one of our favorite traditions. Each year, local organizations receive much-needed assistance while volunteers enjoy a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact in just a few hours.
